AireSpring Hires AT&T, IBM Data Center Designer As Solutions Engineering SVP
AireSpring's new senior VP of solutions engineering and his team will provide partners with training on new technologies.

Cloud communications and managed connectivity provider AireSpring has rehired Mike Chase, who designed data centers for AT&T, IBM and others, as senior vice president of solutions engineering.

In this new role, Chase will use his more than 25 years of experience designing complex data centers and wide area networks to lead AireSpring’s solutions engineering team, which serves as a full-service network engineering resource to its channel partners and their enterprise clients. He previously was senior vice president of technology with AireSpring before leaving the company in October 2013.
Chase and the team also will provide AireSpring partners with training on new technologies, and work with product management and core engineering to develop, test and optimize new products and services. He has played a key role in AireSpring’s SD-WAN vendor analysis and implementation.
“Mike brings a world-class level of technical expertise in cloud and WAN networking, design and optimization, as well as practical knowledge of how to develop and deliver the best cloud solutions to our customers,” said Daniel Lonstein, AireSpring’s chief operating officer. “We are excited to have a professional of Mike’s caliber in this critical role, working on cloud and SD-WAN networking design and optimization. Chase co-founded and was former chief technology officer of several cloud ventures, including dinCloud, one of the first cloud service providers (CSPs) to offer hosted virtual desktops globally. He has designed complex data centers globally during his work with such firms as Wells Fargo Bank, IBM, Mobil Oil, Union Oil, LA Cellular, AT&T, Broadcom, tamCloud, dinCloud and others.
