Logentries Launches New Dashboards for Analytics, Log Management
Logentries has unveiled new dashboards for analytics and log management that are designed to provide companies with additional application performance monitoring and usage data.
Logentries, which provides a software-as-a-service-based (SaaS-based) analytics and log management service, has released new dashboards that are designed to give companies more data about application issues, performance and usage trends.
“As applications and networks move to the cloud, and systems become even more distributed, our customers are using Logentries to aggregate and analyze billions of log events every day,” Andrew Burton, CEO and president of Logentries, said in a prepared statement. “With the new real-time dashboards, they can get an immediate snapshot of application performance and usage, and identify problems in just a few clicks.”
The new Logentries dashboards are available out-of-the-box, and Logentries points out its goal is to provide “an accessible alternative for managing huge amounts of data, visualizing insights that matter and sharing that information across the business.” Bernd Harzog, CEO of APMExperts, noted Logentries combines data sources from across a company’s software stack to deliver real-time monitoring of system trends and analytics.
“In the complexity of today’s application environments, it is necessary to use logs to understand exactly what is happening in your systems, and more importantly, why it is happening,” Harzog said in a prepared statement. “Logentries is providing deep visibility into application behavior.”
According to the company, Logentries’ new dashboards can make it easier for developers and IT professionals to identify errors or trending events. In addition, Logentries said the dashboards can help users analyze and validate log data.
“Logentries gives us end-to-end system visibility in real-time and provides deep forensic insights made easy for the cloud,” Ivan Lorenz, a software developer at Barcelona’s Casa Ametller, said in a statement.
Codeship, Macy’s (M) and Red Bull are three of the companies that use Logentries for analytics and log management. Logentries supports several infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) providers and claims it collects customers’ log data in real-time.
