TimeXtender, Qlik Team on Analytics
This alliance allows TimeXtender and Qlik to market, promote and demonstrate each other's products.
April 28, 2016
PRESS RELEASE — Bellevue, WA, April 2016 – TimeXtender, the world’s leading provider of data warehouse automation (DWA) software for the Microsoft® SQL Server®, today announced a new worldwide partnership with Qlik®, (NASDAQ: QLIK) a leader in visual analytics, to offer a comprehensive data warehouse and business intelligence package to customers worldwide. The new agreement brings together two powerhouses in their respective markets, TimeXtender in DWA and Qlik in visual analytics.
TimeXtender democratizes access to corporate data, enabling business users and liberating IT. TimeXtender’s TX DWA, coupled with either Qlik Sense or QlikView, puts user-friendly data in the hands of the right people at the right time. It protects the data in a secured and governed fashion displaying the data in a stunning, analytical visual presentation, and helping organizations to reduce the gap between business and IT to realize the numerous benefits of a modern data infrastructure.
With more than 2,600 customers across more than 60 countries, TimeXtender became a Qlik Technology Partner because of its product compatibility and complementary utility to Qlik’s products. This reciprocal alliance allows TimeXtender and Qlik to market, promote and demonstrate each other’s products. Companies that already have QlikView or Qlik Sense, can use TX DWA to create a robust data warehouse. And companies that already have TX DWA, can integrate Qlik with their existing data warehouse, and benefit from powerful visualization and reporting options.{ad}
“At Qlik, we see self-service access to and interaction with data as fundamental to the needs of business users. With Qlik at the front-end of a TimeXtender DWA installation, democratization of data and discovery is simple, with profound implications for the business,” said Donald Farmer, Qlik Vice President, Innovation and Design. “Qlik and TimeXtender together are a powerful way to get business users the data they need.”
Customer Benefits
Another important feature derived from this partnership is that the integration package allows companies to be prepared for changes and demands that regularly occur in enterprise technology, while allowing users to benefit from results significantly earlier than they would from a classical data warehouse build. With TX DWA, business users can see results from day one. And a complete TX DWA and Qlik integration can be live in six weeks.
Existing Qlik Partners, Customer Install in Place
TimeXtender already has two existing agreements in place with Qlik partners; Climber Denmark, a leading Qlik solutions provider in visual analytics, and bWise, the only Norwegian Elite Solution Provider of Qlik.
With that, TimeXtender and Climber recently teamed to provide a fast and flexible solution for VIA University College (based in Denmark) so that faculty members throughout the university could have access to its data. Allan Nordestgaard at VIA University College was impressed by the combination of speed, flexibility and agility, along with the data visualization to help the school make critical decisions that the TimeXtender/Qlik solution offered.
“When we did our research we were told that …

… it would take months to build a data warehouse,” said Allan Nordestgaard, Department Manager of IT-development and BI-project at VIA University College. “So when the team did it in a matter of minutes, we were sold!
“TimeXtender provides a fast and flexible platform so we can access the data we need when we need it. And Qlik helps us visualize that data so we can make mission critical decisions.”
TimeXtender Adding Qlik Partners – Exhibiting at Qonnections (Booth #899)
With this new technology partnership agreement in place, TimeXtender is now looking to expand new Qlik partnerships across all global regions. The new alliance allows Qlik partners to offer DWA, enabling them to acquire new customers, sell more Qlik solutions, and provide more value and satisfaction to existing and future customers.
Furthermore, to kick off this global announcement, TimeXtender is exhibiting at the upcoming Qonnections 2016 event (booth #899) held May 1-4 in Orlando. TimeXtender will be onsite to meet with potential new partners and customers at the show. The company will also be presenting a featured conference session with Donald Farmer, Qlik Vice President, Innovation and Design, showcasing the modern data warehouse and actually building a data warehouse on stage in under eight minutes. TimeXtender’s CEO Heine Krog Iversen and Matt Dyor, Vice President, Partner Development, will lead the conference session on May 2, along with Joseph Treadwell, a Data Warehouse Consultant with TimeXtender.
