Most MSPs offer remote management capabilities. Many also offer backup services. Now, it's time to converge those two services to maximize profits and bolster customer service. So how can you get started?
Ideally, you should look for a managed backup platform that gives you complete control over customers' plans — remotely. Using a web-based control panel, you should be able to create and modify backup plans, specify plan name and source for backups, add files and folders filter, configure scheduling as well as compression and encryption options.
We're delivering those capabilities — and plenty more — with our updated CloudBerry Managed Backup service. For MSPs, all configurations can now be made through our web interface control panel — thereby eliminating the need for you to make onsite support visits. As soon as a backup plan is created and saved, it immediately applies to the selected computer and appears in the customer's backup client interface. Also, MSPs can remotely run and stop the backup plan on the user computer.
In the rare event that something went wrong, the MSP can remotely send logs from the user's computer directly to the CloudBerry Lab support team to address the issue.
What if the customer already has a backup plan in place? Here again the MSP can still add value. Indeed, the MSP can easily see and modify all plans created by the user. Plus, you can can change user access credentials in case they was lost or a user of the computer changed.
With the click of a single button, backup client settings can be changed to common mode — meaning a backup plan configuration becomes common to all computer users.
With all of those enhancements in mind, we've eliminated the line between remote management and backup. For more information, click here. Or join our Aug. 6 webcast here. To get full access to CloudBerry Managed Backup service, sign up for free today.
