CableSolve: Mobile App Supports Enterprise IT Management

MSPs now use a range of mobile devices to remotely manage customer networks. But managing networks from a mobile device isn’t a new trend. Just ask Cormant Technologies Chairman & CEO Paul Goodison, and he’ll tell you Cormant has empowered service providers with mobile apps that manage enterprises for nearly a decade.

According to Cormant, “CableSolve does not just concentrate on managing the patch panels but also manages the entire physical infrastructure from the structured cabling to the switches, routers, and PABX’s all the way to the outlets, desktop PCs and telephones, infact the entire physical infrastructure.”

“CableSolve already had a mobile component when we brought it to market in 2003,” Goodison said. At the time it was strictly a Windows mobile component that helped companies manage their connectivity and related assets. In 2011, Cormant added support for BlackBerry, Android and various tablet devices. Next up, watch for Cormant to add support for virtualized server management. An announcement could emerge at Interop (Oct. 3-7, New York).

Goodison said CableSolve has been used in a range of verticals since hitting the market in 2003, ranging from universities, to military, to governments, to managed service providers supporting the infrastructures of many SMBs and SMEs. CableSolve is available internationally and almost exclusively through its channel partners, with heavy adoption throughout Asia and Europe.
