Apprenda PaaS Raises $24M in Series D Funding. Apprenda has added $24 million in Series D funding. Safeguard Scientifics led the funding round, with participation from New Enterprise Associates and Ignition Partners. Apprenda provides a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offering, and the company said the Series D funds will allow it to bolster its product development and sales operations.
Cazena Raises $20M Series B for Its Enterprise Big Data-As-A-Service Platform. Big data-as-a-service platform provider Cazena has secured $20 million in a Series B financing round led by Formation 8, according to TechCrunch. Andreessen Horowitz and North Bridge Venture Partners also participated in the financing round. Cazena noted that the Series B financing will help the company bolster its technology, salesforce and partnerships.
Granular Announces $18.7M Series B Financing. Granular, a company that specializes in cloud, mobile and data science technology, has closed an $18.7 million Series B financing round. Tao Capital Partners led the financing round, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Emory Investment Management, Fall Line Capital, Google Ventures, H. Barton Asset Management and Khosla Ventures. Granular pointed out that the new financing will allow it to expand its team.
Procurify Seeded with $4 Mln From VCs, Hootsuite Executives. Cloud-based procurement management solution provider Procurify has raised $4 million in seed funding. Investors included Point Nine Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). Procurify said it will use the seed funding to improve its marketing, product development and sales.
