LaunchPoint Announces $22.5 Million in Funding from Carrick Capital Partners. LaunchPoint, which offers cloud-based healthcare solutions, has announced $22.5 million in funding from Carrick Capital Partners. The company said it will use the investment to “fund new product development, expand sales and marketing and enhance the client experience.”

Platform9 Raises $10 Million in Funding from Menlo and Redpoint Ventures to Meet Accelerating Demand for OpenStack Private Clouds. Platform9 has secured $10 million in Series B funding, bringing its total financing to $14.5 million. Menlo Ventures led the funding round, with participation from previous investor Redpoint Ventures. Platform9 provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud platform, and the company said it plans to use the Series B funding to accelerate its product roadmap and grow its customer base.

Cloud Compensation Management Firm Iconixx Raises $10 Million in Growth Equity Funding. Cloud-based compensation management software provider Iconixx has raised $10 million in its most recent funding round. The funding round was co-led by Harbert Venture Partners and S3 Ventures, with participation from existing investor Ballast Point Ventures. Iconixx said it will use the funding to expand its product line and hire “a substantial number of additional employees.”

VMware Invests in Blue Medora. Cloud systems management software provider Blue Medora announced it has raised $4.6 million in Series A funding, including an investment by VMware (VMW). Blue Medora noted that the Series A funding will be used to further develop its management pack software.

ChurchDesk Scores $2 Million Funding to Help Churches Go Digital. ChurchDesk, which offers a cloud-based platform and mobile apps for iOS and Android to help church staff and volunteers run their church, has added $2 million in a funding round led by Mangrove Capital Partners. TechCrunch reported that ChurchDesk will use the funding to expand its product and marketing team, develop additional product features and drive uptake across Europe.
