In its FQ2, Apple (AAPL) again blew away analysts’ expectations in revenue, earnings and iPhone sales, and met revenue forecasts for the Mac. Only with the iPad did Apple disappoint. The vendor even exceeded its own estimated range for gross margin at 40.8 percent from an expected high end of 39.5 percent.

Infosys has snapped up Kallidus, a digital e-commerce services provider, for $120 million, in a deal the India-based software services company said will add automation and innovation to its portfolio as it tacks to more high-margin offerings under new chief executive Vishal Sikka.

Super heavyweights Hewlett-Packard (HPQ), IBM (IBM), Microsoft (MSFT), Oracle (ORCL) and SAP (SAP) are said to be likely suitors possibly vying to take over Salesforce.com (CRM), after Bloomberg reported the CRM provider is engaged with financial advisers to help field offers.

Synnex (SNX) will continue to make investments in its core businesses, including its mobility and cloud offerings, as the company looks to boost its SMB-centric business, according to Peter Laroque, president of North American Distribution. Laroque said Synnex will continue to boost key business drivers including its inside and outside sales coverage, vertical teams and product teams as the company looks to capitalize on its lucrative SMB offerings.
