Alert Logic has unveiled a new tier in its Partner Connect program for MSPs to sell cybersecurity services to customers.

The managed detection and response (MDR) program gives partners access to Alert Logic’s technology, analytics and 24/7 security experts. Alter Logic Partner Connect debuted nearly two years ago.

Chad Bacher is Alert Logic’s senior vice president and general manager of global channels. He said the complexity and costs of IT and cybersecurity continue to rise.

“Increasingly we were seeing businesses look to MSPs to help solve these challenges,” he said.

Alert Logic also recognized that cybersecurity was evolving into a must-have component in MSPs’ offerings, Bacher said. And it’s a key differentiator to drive growth.

Late last year, Alert Logic began digging into its existing channel partner base, Bacher said. This was to learn more about their businesses and ensure the company aligned to their goals, he said.

“We learned that a number of our partners were evolving and moving more toward a managed service model or already operating in this model,” he said. “To service these partners appropriately, it became clear that there was a need for us to design a purpose-built program for MSPs.”

MSPs Essential to the Alert Logic Partner Connect Strategy

Alert Logic has a number of key strategic partnerships with MSPs, Bacher said.

“These MSPs have recognized the need to provide their customers with another level of cybersecurity,” he said. “However, they want to offer this without incurring increased operational costs and burden. Spending time with these partners … was absolutely a key driver in designing the new program.”

The program provides tailor-made MSP pricing, and security operations center/network operations center (SOC/NOC) integration and automation. It also provides branded security assessments, managed accounts dashboards and dedicated engagement.

The new program allows MSPs to have “security-enabled differentiation” versus their competitors, Bacher said.

“As sophistication of threats and cost of breaches continue to rise, proactive 24x7x365 threat detection, monitoring and response is critical to reduce the exposure and impact of security incidents,” he said.

MSPs can offer this without taking on increased operating costs, Bacher added. This allows them to drive long-term, profitable revenue growth.

“Providing high-touch MSP engagement also allows Alert Logic to intimately understand an MSP’s business to ensure we are designing elements of our solutions … and our program to meet their unique needs,” he said.

“Across the board, organizations are looking for cost-effective access to the advanced technologies and 24/7 experts needed to secure IT environments in today’s complex threat landscape,” said Annalea Ilg, CISO of Involta, an MSP partner.
