Tech Data (TECD) is expanding its mobile offerings portfolio through a Master Solution Provider agreement with AT&T (T) as part of the telecom giant’s Channel Alliance Program.

The partnership will enable Tech Data to act as an agent for AT&T by offering the company’s portfolio of mobile solutions in the United States through the Tech Data Mobile Solutions Division, according to the announcement.

The distributor’s status as an authorized MSP for AT&T’s Channel Alliance Program is expected to give customers access to new bundled data solutions for vertical markets. Tech Data also said its relationship with AT&T will provide enterprise and SMB partners with additional support, such as greater rewards for sales, a more expansive product suite and new training initiatives.

“Our strategic collaboration with AT&T and other leading carriers will enable solution providers to capitalize on the expertise within Tech Data Mobile Solutions,” said Patrick Stokes, vice president of Tech Data Mobile Solutions, in a statement. “As a Master Solution Provider in the AT&T Channel Alliance Program, Tech Data will facilitate AT&T activations and more added benefits on behalf of our solution providers and continue to be the source for end-to-end mobile solution needs in the IT channel.”

Last year, AT&T joined its Mobility and Business Solutions group into a single unit headed by former Mobility Chief Executive Ralph de la Vega.

AT&T recently announced that it would let more than 50 million of its enterprise and consumer customers carry over their unused mobile data to the next month in a bid to compete with Sprint’s new Data Stash plan.
