Avnet’s (AVT) U.S. partners now have access to a selection of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) servers through a new distribution deal.

The distributor announced on Thursday that it is now stocking select Build-to-Order (BTO) servers from HPE, which is expected to give its U.S. partners the ability to meet growing customer demand for custom servers. The company said the addition of HPE’s BTO servers combined with its Configure-to-Order (CTO) capabilities will create a “one-stop shop” for all of their HPE server needs.

Straight from the press release, Avnet is now offering the following HPE servers and blades:

  • HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 Server

  • HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Server

  • HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server

All of the HPE servers and blades will be warehoused at and shipped from Avnet’s Global Solutions Center in Chandler, Arizona, according to the announcement. The distributor said the location will allow for quick shipping and simplified price quoting so partners can receive the servers and complete their orders in less time.

“Avnet’s new full-distribution of these HPE offerings provides our channel partners with a single stop for all their HPE purchasing needs,” said Greg Peterson, vice president of Avnet’s HPE Solutions Business in the Americas, in a statement. “With three kinds of purchasing opportunities – fully customized, transactional, and using BTO items for custom opportunities with optional integration, Avnet is the preferred channel choice for speeding time to solution for server-based projects.”
Earlier this week, Avnet announced it had named company veteran Sean Valcamp as its inaugural chief information security officer, responsible for overseeing the company’s global security efforts.

Following its division from HP Inc., in November, HPE launched HPE Synergy, a disaggregated platform designed to run both traditional and cloud native applications.
