Bitglass, a Campbell, California-based enterprise data security provider, has raised $25 million in Series B funds.

New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Norwest Venture Partners and SingTel Innov8 were three of the investors to participate in the Series B funding round.

Bitglass has raised $35 million to date and will use the Series B funds to expand its Total Data Protection solution.

“We are honored to attract capital from investors with a firsthand understanding of the markets we serve,” Bitglass CEO Nat Kausik said in a prepared statement. “The fresh capital will enable us to accelerate innovation and growth.”

Total Data Protection secures corporate data in the cloud, according to Bitglass.

The solution “brings to market breakthrough technologies that deliver the security and visibility IT needs to enable mobile and cloud in the workplace, while respecting user privacy.”

What are Bitglass’ long-term goals?

A Bitglass spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud the Series B funds will help his company bolster its marketing, sales and technology development for Total Data Protection.

“This financing will allow us to help a broader set of customers safely enable cloud and mobile and to continue to innovate on our Total Data Protection solution,” he said.

Bitglass said it will explore new opportunities to secure corporate data in the cloud.

“Our goal is to continue to expand on our vision of providing security for corporate data anywhere it goes,” a Bitglass spokesperson said.
