Sorbis Corp., a managed services provider, is leveraging Bomgar’s secure remote solution to control PC workstations and servers across 80 hotels in Miami and New York.

Sorbis CEO Gene August said in a prepared statement that security and two-factor authentication were two must-haves in an remote access tool for the company, in addition to logging features. Microsoft Active Directory integration also was a key requirement.

Bomgar co-founder and CSO Nathan McNeill, in a prepared statement, said it’s time for busineses to more closely track their IT management tools.

“Year after year, industry experts name remote access tools as one of the top vectors used in data breaches,” he said. “It’s worth the time to take a closer look at the tools your IT department uses for technology support, because your company could be inadvertently at risk.”

Bomgar also is focused on mobility enhancements. The company released its Bomgar Remote Support Client for Samsung app in May 2013, allowing technology support professionals to remotely control and support Samsung Google (GOOG) Android devices.
