Brokerage to VARs: Use Our Free Network Design Services
April 17, 2008
A new brokerage firm is letting VARs access its Internet and WAN design services for free.
Curtis Burnside, president of The Telecom Broker, said his company is making the offer to “provide a home for VARs that would like a professional sales approach with design assistance.”
The Telecom Broker also is looking for subagents who know technology and will work with VARs.
The Florida-based company’s carrier partners include AireSpring, Level 3 Communications Inc., PAETEC and UCN. These providers pay commissions to The Telecom Broker after a project is completed.
Here’s how it works: partners bring an SMB’s specs to The Telecom Broker, which designs the network and then sends it out for bid. Once the network is installed, The Telecom Broker remains the point of contact for the end user when services need to be added or when moves, adds or changes need to be overseen.
The Telecom Broker employs certified network consultants, most of whom are former carrier employees, according to The Telecom Broker. Its VARs mostly consist of network integrators and telecom interconnects.
