Cablevision Systems Corp. (CVC) announced Wednesday that it has rolled out its first online portal for agents who are part of the Optimum Business Partner Program.

Optimum Business Reseller Portal enables simplifies the ordering process by enabling authorized resellers to submit orders 24×7. Orders submitted through the portal will be updated automatically with installation time and date allowing partners to advise their customers or schedule resources as necessary. Order tracking also will indicate if an installation has been completed or rescheduled.

Using the portal, agents also can send an electronic Letters of Authorization to their customer to obtain permission to port telephone numbers. When the customer completes the LOA the portal will be updated, and no paper LOA needs to be obtained and sent to Cablevision to complete the order.

As part of the order submission process, agents can obtain a Customer Service Record, with permission from the customer, when available from a customer’s current carrier to verify account information once an eLOA has been submitted.

Joseph Varello, Cablevision’s vice president of small and medium business services, said maintaining a protected and effective flow of information with Cablevisions authorized resellers regarding the latest in product features, functionality and pricing is critical. “We have created the portal to ensure that our resellers have the tools, technology and extensive support needed to stay competitive in the market,” he said.
