Centrify has kicked off a managed service provider channel program to allow partners to integrate the company’s unified identity management solutions into their portfolios.

The program will add a tier to the existing Centrify Channel Partner Network by giving service providers an overlay to sign into multiple cloud services via the Centrify User Suite. The new multi-tenancy feature is the driving force behind the channel program, and will allow one MSP to manage and adminster several customers’ implementations through a single pane of glass, according to Redmond Channel Partner.

Centrify believes the new subscription model will serve as an opportunity to attract new partners while creating an additional revenue stream for existing partners looking to develop their MSP businesses. The MSP program is being aimed at partners with customers in the upper midmarket, according to CRN.

“MSPs have historically provided remote monitoring and security management for on-premises PCs, servers, apps and network devices, but as their customers migrate to mobile and the cloud their clients’ IT management challenges are fundamentally changing as identity becomes the new perimeter,” said Gary Taggart, senior vice president of Sales at Centrify, in a statement.

Centrify also announced the addition of MSP-specific product enhancements to the cloud identity offerings in its User Suite, which will give users a single Active Directory or cloud-based login for corporate resources, according to the company. The new User Suite enhancements enable MSPs to offer Centrify’s Identity Management as a Service product in a more scalable way, in addition to giving partners the ability to manage tenants of customers through a central pane of glass.

“From a cost and revenue standpoint, this is a winner for MSPs,” said Nathan Adams, North American channel chief for Centrify, in an interview with CRN. “A lot of them have these hosted portals for their customers and it’s a really big differentiator to use our technology for authorization of specific cloud applications and on-premise applications as well.”
