When it comes to running a small business, some VAR challenges never change. Chief among them: Finding potential financial partners that can assist with leasing, lines of credit, SMB financing, hardware as a service (HaaS) and other financial needs. Need help finding potential partners? Check out The VAR Guy’s Channel Finance 25, a new report that allows VARs and MSPs to quickly track down potential financial assistance across the channel.

The Channel Finance 25 puts the spotlight on key companies, executives and contacts across the IT channel. Those resources include specific financial executives within distributors, vendors, leasing organizations and more. The VAR Guy isn’t in a position to specifically endorse any of the 25 companies. Instead, The Channel Finance 25 is designed to help you investigate potential financial partners on your own: We give you names, web links, main company phone numbers and more… then you go investigate which Channel Finance 25 companies could potentially assist your needs.

The Channel Finance 25 arrives at a critical time for VARs and MSPs. Alas, the list of failed U.S. banks has grown rapidly in recent years. The global financial crisis of 2008 and the challenging housing market have made credit hard to come by for some small VARs and MSPs in recent years. To compensate,  The VAR Guy hopes The Channel Finance 25 provides some fresh ideas to help readers research potential lending relationships with a range of companies.

To develop The Channel Finance 25, The VAR Guy hosted an online survey in Q4 2010 and also interviewed a range of channel finance executives in Q1 2011. The second-annual Channel Finance 25 survey will run in Q4 2011. A link for the new survey will debut here in October 2011.
