Channel Partner Program Roundup: DocPoint, Dell, Riverbed

Happy Thursday, and here’s hoping the weather where you are is warmer than where I am. As occurs every Thursday, it’s time for the Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly collection of all things channel-partner related. This week we’ve got news from DocPoint Solutions, Dell and Riverbed Technology (RVBD), so tighten that scarf, put on your woolies and let’s start the roundup.

DocPoint Solutions: The vendor focusing on sales and support of Microsoft (MSFT) SharePoint and its integrated suite of products has established a reseller partnership with CipherPoint Software, a data security provider for on-premises and cloud file sharing and collaboration systems.

Through this partnership, DocPoint is authorized to sell, deploy and support CipherPoint’s data encryption suite, CipherPoint Eclipse. Now available on DocPoint’s GSA Schedule 70, CipherPoint Eclipse secures data across file servers, on-premises SharePoint, SharePoint Online/Office365 and other cloud collaboration systems from a central data security console. With DocPoint’s ability to seamlessly integrate CipherPoint’s solutions with a SharePoint environment, DocPoint customers will be able to further their data security initiatives and meet compliance requirements, according to DocPoint.

Dell: The newly private IT hardware, software and services vendor has tapped GreenBytes to be a part of its Dell's Technology Partner Program.  As part of the program, GreenBytes has certified its IO Offload Engine, a software-defined storage appliance, to run on Dell PowerEdge servers. GreenBytes has also certified its vIO virtual storage appliance (VSA) with the Dell PowerEdge VRTX to give customers access to an all-in-one VDI solution that scales from tens to hundreds of users in a single appliance, according to the company.

“GreenBytes is pleased to join the Dell Technology Partner Program to deliver a compelling storage optimization offering for the growing virtual desktop market,” said Dan Beauregard, senior director of Strategic Alliances at GreenBytes. “By combining GreenBytes’ award-winning desktop virtualization storage optimization software with Dell’s industry-leading hardware offerings, we can deliver a virtual desktop solution that is cost effective and high performing to customers.”

Riverbed Technology: The application performance infrastructure vendor honored its top-performing partners during Riverbed Sales Kick Off 2014 sales and partner conference Jan. 13-16. Partners were nominated and reviewed by a panel of Riverbed’s worldwide sales leadership.
