Channel Partner Program Roundup: ExaGrid, PKWARE, Carousel Industries

Howdy Partners, and thanks for checking out this week’s roundup. This time around we’ve got the latest news from ExaGrid, PKWARE and Carousel Industries.

ExaGrid: Disk-based backup storage provider ExaGrid has appointed Andy Walsky as vice president of Sales for EMEA and APAC, responsible for managing the sales functions of the company’s business in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Walsky has more than 20 years of experience in the IT channel, and most recently served as vice president of EMEA and APAC Sales and Marketing for Overland Storage, according to the announcement.

“ExaGrid is a visionary and leader in delivering its next-generation disk-based backup storage solution that was designed from the ground up specifically to meet the demands of today's IT backup infrastructure," said Walsky, in a statement. “We'll expand ExaGrid's footprint and deliver the industry's leading scale-out backup appliances that can handle any amount of data and permanently fix the backup window as data grows. Inline deduplication appliances just can't claim that."

PKWARE: In other executive hire news, Smart Encryption solutions provider PKWARE has named Rick Hofmann as vice president of North American Channels and Alliances, responsible for leading the company’s new channel program. He will also work to improve North American partners’ routes to market and recruit security-focused resellers and system integrators as channel partners.

"PKWARE's highly extensible encryption and file share solutions are precisely what systems integrators and service providers are looking for as they address their customers' data-centric security, regulatory and compliance needs," Hofmann said. "In today's environment of constant data breaches, our partners now have the opportunity to solve the biggest IT security infrastructure challenges customers are facing today and tomorrow."

Prior to his appointment, Hofmann served as a consultant at Gerson Lehrman Group, and has also worked at IT companies including Symantec and ON Technology, among others.

Carousel Industries: Former Unify executive Timothy Howard has been appointed as director of Healthcare Solutions at Carousel Industries, responsible for leading the company’s healthcare practice and developing new solutions in the healthcare market.

Howard, who previously served as vice president of Healthcare Solutions at Unify, has held various executive-level positions within the IT heathcare industry, including companies such as Arrow Systems Integration, Xeta Technologies and Williams Communication, according to the announcement.

"Tim brings an enormous amount of expertise to our healthcare team," commented James Marsh, chief revenue officer of Carousel Industries. "His understanding of the mechanics behind the telehealth market, combined with his interest in improving patient care and healthcare processes through more efficient use of technology, makes him extremely qualified to help our team uncover and pursue new revenue opportunities in this space."
