This week, we offer up details on FalconStor Software’s new VP of Sales, as well as program news from Zarafa and Ericom. There’s lots to cover, so put your boots on and let’s get ready to ride!FalconStor Software: The disk-based data protection solutions vendor (NASDAQ: FALC) has a new North American Sales president in Gary Quinn, former CA Technologies channel sales executive. In his new role, Quinn is charged with enhancing and expanding FalconStor’s North American channel sales initiatives and partner network.
Quinn most recently served as CIO of the Suffolk County, N.Y., Department of Information Technology, but before that spent more than 20 years at CA, including stints as executive vice president of International Sales and North American Channel Sales.
Zarafa: The European provider of open source groupware and collaboration software has added LinuxIT, a Bristol, U.K.-based systems integrator, to the ranks of the Zarafa Partner Program. Under the partnership, LinuxIT will become Zarafa’s Certified Partner in the United Kingdom for its Collaboration Platform.
“This important partnership with, LinuxIT, one of the largest European Red Hat partners, enables Zarafa to further expand in the U.K.,” said Brian Joseph, CEO of Zarafa, in a prepared statement. “Organizations will benefit from Linux IT’s and Zarafa’s mutual knowledge exchange on open source collaboration technology.”
Ericom Software: The application access and desktop virtualization solutions vendor has added a new element to its PowerPartner channel program, specifically for VMware View partners. According to Ericom, the goal is “to speed up VMware View adoption and extend VMware View offerings to on-premise deployments as well as Cloud Desktops and DaaS environments.”
The new program grants immediate Gold partner status and benefits to VMware View partners applying to become Ericom PowerPartners by May 18, 2012, and offers a number of other benefits including:

Lead registration, referral and sharing
Proposal and on-site meetings assistance
