Channel Partner Program Roundup: GCI, Peak 10, OneNeck

Well, happy Thursday, amigos, and welcome to the Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly collection of things you need to know in the channel. This week we’ve got news from Global Convergence Inc. (GCI), Peak 10 and OneNeck IT Solutions, so saddle up, grab your sombrero and let’s ride.

GCI: The IT distribution and solutions company has introduced its new Spirent Communications PartnerNet Program for its Axon product. The new program, offered exclusively through GCI, includes a lead-pass-through component for solution providers to help bring the Axon solution to market efficiently and profitably.

PartnerNet offers multiple metal levels of membership (Silver, Gold and Platinum) with aggressive incentives, lead generation assistance, joint sales support and many other program benefits, according to the company. PartnerNet was designed to allow Spirent to align its Axon product with enterprise-focused solution providers that have expertise in network and application testing to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Axon PartnerNet Program Benefits Include:

  • Discounts off published list prices, based on partner levels

  • Sales leads

  • Deal registration

  • Discounted demo equipment

  • Training

Peak 10: The national IT infrastructure and cloud provider has been named the Economic Development Partner of the Year, awarded by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance in Florida during the Alliance Mid-Year Meeting and Luncheon held May 22. The annual award honors a leading organization that has demonstrated a significant commitment to bettering economic development in Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County.

“With hundreds of South Florida customers, we are proud to serve as a catalyst for economic development in the area —a technology hub for business growth. This recognition solidifies the value that a strong cloud and IT partner can deliver on business operations and growth flexibility,” said Stefan Pittinger, vice president for Peak 10, overseeing South Florida operations.

In 2012, Peak 10 opened its second Fort Lauderdale facility, bringing its total raised-floor footprint to 33,000 square feet locally, and continues to grow to support the demand of South Florida companies.

OneNeck: The national IT solutions provider has broken ground on a new $20 million, 35,000 square-foot Tier 3+ data center in the Denver metro area. The data center is slated to open  in early 2015 and will be the seventh data center owned and operated by OneNeck in the United States.

“We are excited to make this additional investment in the Denver area,” said Phil LaForge, president and CEO of OneNeck. “Our data center will be built to withstand natural disasters, which means area businesses can rest-assured their IT infrastructure is safe, protected, and always accessible in our new Tier 3+ data center.”

The multi-phase project is designed for rapid expansion, in up to five phases, totaling 160,000 square feet. It will also be able to support data center modules. The project leverages a personal property tax rebate and construction fee waivers provided by the Board of Douglas County Commissioners to build in the southeast corner of the Denver metro area.

And that’s the roundup for this week. Like what you see? Then come on back next week for more. Until then, stay safe.
