Intronis: Backup and data protection solutions provider Intronis has appointed Chris Crellin as vice president of Product Management and Scott Graham as vice president of IT and Operations.
Crellin formerly served in executive roles at companies including Datto and RSA before his appointment at Intronis. In his new position, he will be responsible for leading the company’s product strategy and management.
Graham served in various executive-level positions at First Marblehead Bank, Avid Technology, Wuantum Bridge and 3Com. He will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development execution of Intronis’ internal IT initiatives, R&D and operations, according to the announcement.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Scott and Chris to the Intronis team and leverage their expertise to expand and enhance our roadmap, execute against our growth strategy, and deliver an exceptional partner experience,” said Rick Faulk, CEO of Intronis, in a statement.
QA: British training provider QA has been named 2015 Microsoft Worldwide Learning Partner of the Year for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of learning solutions, according to the company. QA beat out more than 2,300 entrants from 108 countries for this year’s award.
The company was recognized developing a series of live virtual training events in conjunction with UK-based news agency The Register to inform Microsoft customers about how Azure-based solutions work and can benefit their business needs, according to the announcement. More than 5,000 viewers attended the virtual sessions, which were also available on-demand after the event.
“We are at the beginning of a fundamental shift in IT where most infrastructure will inexorably move to the cloud, and Microsoft Azure is a major technology leading this change,” said Steve Brennan, QA’s Microsoft business development director. “I am delighted for QA to be recognized for their dedication to support Microsoft customers during this shift, and to receive such a notable award as the Microsoft Worldwide Learning Partner of the Year for being a market leader in delivering Azure training.”
RCN: Communications provider RCN Business has signed Intelisys to its agent program, which will provide the company with the resources and support to sell RCN’s portfolio of IP-based data and voice communications services to enterprise and SMB customers.
The agreement enables Intelisys to offer RCN Business services to sales partners, thus allowing partners to integrate RCN’s services into their value-added IT bundle and expand their customer solutions offering.
“One of the key benefits of RCN’s agent program is that partners, master agents and sub agents can leverage RCN’s extensive fiber-rich, high capacity network, along with our ability to quickly expand our network,” said Robert Roeder, executive vice president and chief development officer at RCN. “With an average fiber deployment of just 21 days, we can quickly light buildings to provide businesses with robust and secure telecommunications services.”
