Channel Partner Program Roundup: MEA | NEA, CMR, Samsung

If it’s Thursday then it’s time for the Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly look-see at happenings in the channel. This week we’ve rounded up news from MEA | NEA, Computer Market Research (CMR) and Samsung Electronics America, so you know what to do—I know this isn’t your first rodeo.

MEA|NEA: The secure unstructured health information exchange has tapped Mary Dooley as director of sales, partner and channels. In this role, Dooley will be responsible for helping drive MEAINEA's growth in health care, as well as working to further establish strategic alliances with technology partners and grow the company’s channel program.

Dooley has 19 years of experience in the electronic data interchange (EDI) industry, 15 of which include serving the healthcare sector. She joins MEA | NEA from Cognizant Technology Solutions, where she was information management director, and previously served as director of EDI for Xerox, servicing several Medicaid fiscal agent operations and commercial insurance plans. In that role, she led the operational development and support, strategic planning, resource management, HIPAA privacy and security and marketing.

Computer Market Research: The developer of web-based channel management solutions has thrown its support behind Computers 2 San Diego Kids (C2SDK), an organization based in San Diego that provides access to technology to families that otherwise can’t afford it.

CMR plans to assist C2SDK in multiple ways. Through C2SDK’s Library Training Program, employees at CMR will contribute their time to educating San Diego-area residents in computer literacy. Other contributions will include volunteering at C2SDK distribution events and donating computer equipment to the nonprofit organization.

“I believe C2SDK works for a great cause and I’m extremely excited to be getting involved with such a great organization. At Computer Market Research, our mission statement is centered on enabling decision makers through the use of technology. In a way, I think that aligns perfectly with the help we will be providing C2SDK,” said Del Heles, CMR president.

Samsung Electronics America: The electronics giant has hired Matthew Smith as vice president of Sales and Marketing, Printing Solutions. He joins as a member of its Enterprise Business Division leadership team, and will be responsible for managing B2B sales, fostering channel relationships and driving market share growth for the Samsung print business.

Smith’s responsibilities will focus on driving sales and market share growth for the Samsung Printing Solutions business. He will also serve as conduit for Samsung’s channel partners, tasked with ensuring alignment on business objectives and facilitating an understanding of the unique needs of this business area.

Smith joins Samsung from Hewlett-Packard (HPQ), where was responsible for channel marketing, marketing development, and communications for Print and PC for the United States and Canada. He is a graduate of Purdue University and holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

That, trail riders, is the Channel Partner Program Roundup for this week. Join us next week for our next roundup. Until then, stay safe.
