Channel Partner Program Roundup: Nectar, Liferay, ForeScout

Howdy, partners, and welcome to the roundup. This week we've got the latest news from Nectar Services, Liferay and ForeScout Technologies all bundled up for your reading pleasure.

Nectar Services: Network monitoring and management software provider Nectar Services has expanded its partner program to three new regions, creating its first global partner program. Beginning immediately, partners in Latin America, Asia Pacific and Japanese markets can sell the company’s solutions.

Nectar said its offerings are meant to help MSPs provide unified communications solutions such as network monitoring and diagnostic software to their customers, as well as provide VARs with a series of hosted solutions, according to the announcement.

“Nectar has already grown a large, successful and sustaining channel program in North America and EMEA. Over the last year, we have invested heavily in resources to broaden our ability to offer our portfolios to service providers and resellers in both markets,” said Chris Joe, senior vice president of global sales at Nectar, in a statement. “With the expansion into the Latin American, Asia Pacific and Japanese markets, we are dedicated to bringing the same unique, vendor-neutral UC networking management and channel support to these regions.”

Liferay: Liferay, an open source portal developer, has partnered with Carahsoft in an effort to expand into the public sector. The agreement will allow Carahsoft to be a “master aggregator and distributor” of Liferay’s products for U.S. public sector customers, according to the announcement.

Carahsoft has also added Liferay Portal, the company’s flagship offering, to its GSA Schedule and SEWP contracts, the company said. Carahsoft is responsible for managing all of the procedures and subscriptions with government customers who purchase Liferay’s solutions.

“Partnering with Carahsoft allows Liferay to more quickly bring industry-leading portal technologies to government agencies,” said Glenn Saler, senior manager of Strategic Alliances for Liferay. “Liferay is already actively used within many government organizations around the world, but by partnering with Carahsoft we really want to demonstrate to the U.S public sector that the time to modernize their digital experiences is now.”

ForeScout: ForeScout Technologies has named Tom Evans as its new Americas channel chief, responsible for fostering growth among the company’s reseller ecosystem to meet increasing customer demand.

Evans is the former senior director of Channel Sales and Distribution for the Americas at F5 Networks (FFIV), and held a number of executive roles at F5 in the past. His official title at ForeScout is Vice President of Channels for the Americas, according to the announcement.

“Our company continues to grow along with the need for advanced network security solutions, and our channel partners represent an important part of that growth,” said Brian Gumbel, vice president of the Americas at ForeScout. “We were looking for a leader with the experience and talent to steward our channel program, and we believe we have found that in Tom.”

That’s it for now folks. Have a great rest of the week, and stay safe out there.
