Channel Partner Program Roundup: NuoDB, Microsoft, Infor

Hola, amigos! Welcome to the Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly exercise in pulling together channel partner program info you need to know. This week we’ve got new from NuoDB, Microsoft (MSFT) and Infor, so grab your sombreros and let’s make a run for the border.

NuoDB: The distributed database technology vendor has expanded its global partner program to offer independent software vendors (ISVs) access to free software, specialized training and NuoDB’s database experts. Using NuoDB’s distributed SQL database technology, ISVs can deliver their products on public and private clouds, with on-demand capacity, continuous availability and geo-distributed operation, according to the company.

The new program offers participants:

  • Free NuoDB software

  • Specialized training and documentation

  • Onsite support from a NuoDB solutions engineer

  • Ongoing technical support

Microsoft: Mobility, data networking and converged communications solution provider Carousel Industries has earned the Microsoft Communications Gold Competency for the second year in a row.

To earn a Microsoft Communications Gold Competency, Microsoft partners must complete a set of rigorous examinations to prove best-in-class technical expertise, submit customer references and attain exemplary customer satisfaction scores. Gold status, which represents the pinnacle of Microsoft Communications Competency, is held by a relatively small number of Microsoft partners around the world.

During 2013, Carousel increased its Microsoft related sales by more than 200 percent, according to the company. The vast majority of this increase was represented by Microsoft Lync offerings, which accounted for more than 90 percent of Microsoft-related sales. In addition to maintaining credentials for Microsoft Gold Competency, Carousel also expanded its team of Microsoft certified professionals and its overall services capabilities.

Infor: The business application software vendor added 163 new channel partners to the Infor Partner Network (IPN) in 2013, with 43 new resellers in the United States alone. The growth of Infor’s channel has picked up significant momentum, with 48 percent more new resellers added than the previous year, according to the company.

“We have launched several programs this year designed to help partners establish new revenue streams for their business and better align with Infor’s overall messaging and strategy,” said Jeff Abbott, senior vice president, Global Alliances and Channels at Infor. “Infor is committed to developing mutually beneficial relationships with partners, and by continuing to establish new connections in countries around the world, we are helping our customers to better address their unique regional and local challenges.”

And that’s the Channel Partner Program Roundup for this week. Saddle up and ride on back next week to see what we’ve corralled. Until then, stay safe.
