Howdy folks, and Happy Thursday to you all. This week we've got the latest partner program updates from our friends at Platform9, Scality and Sungard AS.
Private cloud solution provider Platform9 unveiled details on its new channel partner program this week, which includes a host of standard partner benefits, including sales and marketing support, joint marketing and demand generation programs and deal registration.
Platform 9 said it hopes to increase partners’ share of cloud spending by enabling them to add additional solutions and services to their portfolios.
"Our new channel program helps our partners capitalize on the significant business opportunity surrounding customers' cloud transformation needs,” said Adam Ulfers, Platform9 vice president of sales. “Platform9's unique SaaS-based OpenStack solution enables partners to deliver immediate value to their customers while enhancing their status as a private cloud 'trusted advisor.'"
Storage provider Scality signed a partnership with Storage Made Easy (SME) this week in an effort to provide customers with an integrated storage solution equipped with file, sync and share capabilities.
The new solution combines Scality RING with the SME File Share and Sync Fabric, giving users the ability to deploy their enterprise applications on a global scale, according to the announcement.
“This partnership with Storage Made Easy is another great success for the Scality Application Partners Program as we continue to grow our enterprise applications portfolio,” said Tom Leyden, vice president of Global Partner Marketing at Scality. “By granting greater access and availability to data in real time, our customers benefit from 100 percent uptime, flexible infrastructure and lower maintenance costs.”
Information availability service provider Sungard AS has expanded its channel partner program to several countries in Europe, including the UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Sweden. The program was previously exclusive to partners in the United States and Canada.
Sungard AS said the expanded program is a result of several years of continued growth in indirect sales. The company plans to add additional European channel sales managers to the program to further expand into new markets.
“Our leading position in the industry, attracts channel partners seeking to differentiate themselves from their competition by combining value-added fully recoverable production services to their existing service capabilities,” said Jean-Philippe Sohier, senior vice president, European sales, Sungard AS.
