Business Innovation Hackathon
Noon-5 p.m., Oct. 9
We kick things off on pre-conference day, Oct. 9, with the Business Innovation Hackathon, sponsored by Office Depot.
We're bringing together some of the channel community's top technologists, entrepreneurs, human-resource specialists, and marketing and sales experts for five hours high above the Pennsylvania Convention Center hall floor. We're turning this space into an area for learning and problem-solving, which will feature intimate roundtable discussions with savvy professionals who will help you transform your business.
Our interactive workshops include "Hiring and HR in the Age of #MeToo," Marketing with Purpose," "Innovative Ideas to Win New Business," and more.
A conference & expo pass is required to attend.
Avant Special Forces Training
Noon- 6 p.m. (with networking event to follow), Oct. 9
The hackathon not your thing? Then maybe this session is.
Avant is bringing its famous Special Forces Training to Channel Partners Evolution. This intense, six-hour sales training course is one of a kind. Avant will bring together the partner community, thought leaders and key vendors of next-gen IT solutions for an event dedicated to sales tactics, strategies and tools designed to enable partners to transform their businesses to the point where they can call themselves a true "trusted adviser."
Separate registration is required.
Datto's Cyber Security Summit
8 a.m.-4 p.m., Oct. 10
It's critical for partners to understand the shifting security dynamics impacting their customers. That's why Datto is hosting the Cyber Security Summit on Wednesday, Oct. 10. This colocated event will be held at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.
The constant headlines about security breaches are concerning to customers. You, the partner, need to know how to alleviate the fear and uncertainty that are paralyzing progress for building a digital business.
Separate registration is required.
Channel NX2Z Workforce Symposium
6:30-8 p.m., Oct. 10
Who are these young whippersnappers? What do these old-timers have to teach us?
These are questions that will be answered in the first-ever Channel NX2Z Workforce of the Future Symposium, which features a diverse panel of baby boomers, Gen Xers and millennials.
The discussion will be led by Channel NX2Z co-founders James Anderson and Aaron Leveston. You'll get insights from these insiders and learn lessons, followed by an audience discussion and networking.
Open to partners and members of NX2Z. Registration required.
Business Transformation Station
4-7 p.m., Oct. 10
2-6 p.m., Oct. 11
New to the expo hall this year is the Business Transformation Station (BTS). Be sure to stop by.
MSPs, agents and consultants will learn new ways to streamline their businesses. Partners with an entrepreneurial spirit can get the software solutions they need to start a successful telecom business. Those are just two examples.
The BTS is an experience area open for partners, with well-established vendors whose products and services can be combined to transform all aspects of your business — or used individually to target specific need areas.
Those vendors and specialties include:
Plan IT – Inteserra
Quote IT – Masterstream ERP
Rate IT – Sandy Beaches Software
Tax IT – CCH Wolters Kluwer/SureTax
Collect IT – IPpay

Channel Futures Theater/Thunderdomes
4-7 p.m., Oct. 10
2-6 p.m., Oct. 11
Also new to the expo hall is the Channel Futures Theater. In the past, you've seen our cameras set up doing interviews in Channel Partners Studio, but we're doubling down this year.
You'll find the theater back to back with the studio, featuring outstanding programming you can attend that includes our Thunderdomes (including UCaaS, which was a big hit at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo last spring, SD-WAN and RMM tools). The Theater also will be home to discussions on colocation and online marketing.
