Cloudian, a software company specializing in – as its name might suggest – cloud storage, has introduced a new global partner program for VARs and MSPs. It allows participating partners to resell the company’s HyperStore, fully S3 API compliant, multi-tenant, multi-data center, hybrid cloud storage software, aimed at enterprises.

“Building a strong channel is a key sales focus for Cloudian in the coming months and we are committed to channel partners’ long-term success,” said Jon Ash, Cloudian’s vice president of worldwide sales. “Our new global program equips certified resellers with support and strategies for their growth, including dedicated access to lead generation, sales training, technical resources and marketing opportunities, in order to help drive all our revenue through the channel.”

California-based Cloudian, which already touts a partner program in Japan, has signed up nearly a dozen partners in the U.S. and EMEA for the new program.

Gartner predicts that nearly half of large enterprises will have hybrid cloud environments to keep pace with growing data storage needs by the end of 2017. These environments are certainly growing, and it’s clear Cloudian wants to be a part of that growth. However, the company isn’t alone in wanting to grow its cloud business through the channel.

Seattle-based Acumatica, the enterprise resource planning (ERP) provider, has expanded its partnership with Amazon Web Services.

“We are an Advanced Technology Partner with Amazon Web Services, we are listed on the AWS Marketplace, and most importantly, Acumatica Cloud ERP is now available on the AWS Test Drive,” Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill said. “This not only raises the Acumatica profile but also gives our partners a powerful selling tool.”

The company coupled this news with the introduction of five new partners: …

… MITS, NETSTOCK, Docassist, AvidXchange and Shopping Cart Elite. Acumatica said these companies will utilize its Cloud xRP Platform to create new services.

Paragon Software Group, which specializes in data protection and disaster recovery, announced a commission-based affiliate program for companies interested in reselling its hardware. Paragon is enticing resellers with commission rates that range from 15 percent to 50 percent, depending on the number of software licenses said reseller has sold.

According to Simon Koehl, the marketing manager for PSG, the 50 percent commission marker can be reached when the monthly revenue from PSG products sold reaches $7,000.

“The new program makes selling our … software easier than ever, while also giving our affiliates a more streamlined and simplified approach to tracking and managing monthly commission payments,” Koehl said.

The affiliate program features an online portal that tracks sales along with a monthly rewards payment.
