COMPTEL: Profitec Enhances OmniBill.net
February 25, 2008
Profitec Billing Services (Booth 813) has made two major enhancements to its OmniBill.net product line.
First, the Connecticut-based company is unveiling Online Record Loading Service (ORLS), which runs over the Web. It accepts real-time order requests such as new account additions, new service requests by existing customers, activation and deactivation requests, and account service modifications from authenticated client systems. Once ORLS receives requests, it supplies an immediate response indicating processing success or failure.
ORLS fills many needs expressed by some of our clients, said Randy Minervino, Profitecs vice president of marketing.
In addition to launching ORLS, Profitec this week is demonstrating improvements to OmniBill.net’s reporting capabilities. Specifically, the Data Intelligence Center now consolidates all system reporting into one program to consolidate reporting in the areas of database content, finance, credit and collections, work tickets and direct SQL query.
All system reports have been redone using Sequel reporting functions and Microsoft tools. This allows users to connect from any Internet-connected computer to pull information from the billing system.
The system contains security safeguards and uses password access that’s controlled through the master billing system. Business owners can obtain traffic reports, sales managers can view sales activity in real time, finance staff can run a dunning report and installation techs can work action tickets.
