ComTec Inc., provider of print and electronic customer communications, will upgrade its printing technology and install highlight color printers in its facilities in New Jersey and Minnesota.

The Docutech 180 HLC printer from Xerox Corp. offers the highest resolution in its class with 2400 DPI black and white and 600 DPI highlight color resolutions. The upgrade will also increase throughput by almost 100 percent, from 92 pages per minute to 180.

Highlight color print is used to accentuate key information as well as usage charts or visual graphs. ComTecs clients can also expect to see improved clarity in the dynamic logos and art used in their marketing campaigns.

Clients expect service providers such as ComTec to stay on the leading edge of technology and printing innovation, said Peter Christensen, chairman and CEO of ComTec. This investment in a superior printing platform is a prime example of our commitment to that model.
