Cox Business has a new agreement with ViaWest to offer commercial customers secure fiber network connectivity along with compliant colocation and cloud-infrastructure solutions. Cox will begin offering ViaWests services to customers, first focusing on Las Vegas, Phoenix and Southern California.
Our Cox Business customers have a growing need for scalable IT infrastructure solutions that enable them to access mission critical data anytime and anywhere,” said Mark Bowser, executive vice president and CFO, Cox Communications. By partnering with ViaWest, we have an enhanced product offering that now includes a full suite of secure cloud and colocation solutions to meet the infrastructure needs of our customers.”
ViaWest opened a 110,000 square foot data center in Las Vegas earlier this year. The company plans to open a 90,000 square foot, enterprise-class, multi-tenant data center in Phoenix early next year. Cox Enterprises will be its anchor tenant.
ViaWest says its local data centers mean reduced latency for data transfers and synchronization. Cox Business claims its local service and support mean customers get what they need when they need it.
