D&H Distributing is rewarding partners who focus on growth areas such as cloud, Pro AV and K-12 solutions, client devices and Wi-Fi 6, for example, with increased credit lines for their efforts.
The distributor expects the expanded credit line, totaling $21.5 million in new credit, to impact about 600 partners, in some cases doubling their current credit line limit.
D&H’s Tony Warfield
“D&H is dedicated to supporting our partners as they begin to show great potential for expansion. We take action to help facilitate that growth, increasing their financial flexibility through credit extensions,” said Tony Warfield, vice president of credit and financial services at D&H. “This is in addition to other available financing options such as flooring programs or joint purchase orders for sales in the federal and local government markets. The enhancement of our credit offerings has proven to be a shrewd investment in our partner community, one that drives successful business and fosters loyalty. We’re excited to enable these partners, helping them to thrive as the market evolves toward an ‘as-a-service’ economy.”
Increasing credit lines for partners is something that D&H has been doing since 2008, with extensions totaling $168 million since that time. The goal of this strategy is to help partners accommodate larger projects, enter new markets or win more business.
Credit line increases also benefit D&H particularly in areas where the company is enhancing program and sales support.
Earlier this year, for example, D&H launched a portfolio of new Pro AV services, such as content creation, cloud-based services and installation services to support vertical industries. The new services are designed to support SMB VARs and MSPs in the creation and sale of digital signage, unified communication, collaboration video walls and audio/visual solutions.
At the same time, D&H established a dedicated team of certified specialists and hired Peter Hurley, sales director, ProAV and collaboration, a new position at the company.
D&H entered another new market, eSports, this year and is aligning with technology vendor partners such as Acer, HP, LG, Nvidia, Intel, Dell, Poly, ViewSonic and Kingston, among others, to help resellers and MSPs expand into this emerging market.
D&H’s Dan Schwab
“We’ve been witness to an explosion in the eSports category,” said Dan Schwab, co-president at D&H. “Collegiate gaming has escalated to where students have received full scholarships and earn national recognition. As the segment matures, D&H will serve as the go-to destination for these innovative brands and solutions. Products run the gamut from high-speed processing and video cards, to video walls and large-scale signage, sophisticated gaming headsets, power solutions, networking products and a host of components that deliver the competitive edge required for eSports teams to excel. This represents a significant opportunity for savvy resellers looking to add revenues in the K-12 and higher education markets.”
