Datto Names First-Quarter's Top Partners

Datto Inc., a channel-only provider of hardware for on- and off-site backup, disaster recovery and business continuity, has named the winners of its first-ever Partner Rockstar Awards.

These partners provided “outstanding performance” in the first quarter of 2013, Datto said. To that point, the company has assembled different categories under the headings of Metrics Awards and Superlative Awards. For the metric-based awards, all Datto partners were automatically entered and Datto measured internal data to determine winners.

Here are those winners, by subcategory:

  • New Rockstar on the Block (sold the most appliances overall in their first three months as a Datto partner): Flexible Systems of Hauppauge, N.Y.

  • Revenue Rockstar (featured the most sales in a given quarter): Flexible Systems of Hauppauge, N.Y.

  • Fastest Growing Partner (achieved the largest percentage of overall growth in a given quarter): Milner Inc. of Norcross, Ga.

The Superlative Awards are determined differently from the Metrics Awards. For these, partners had to submit applications, which were judged by Datto management. Here are those winners, by subcategory:

  • Superior Service (went beyond the call of duty for a client): EssentiaLink of Westminster, Colo.

  • Business Continuity Champion (persuaded a client to change backup solutions): Business Technology Partners LLP of Deerfield, Ill.

Submissions for the next round of Superlative Awards are due July 12. The second-quarter winners will be announced on July 25.

Datto sells through MSPs, VARs and IT services providers.
