Back in May 2011, Dell created some ripples in the channel with its new PartnerDirect 2.0 launch, bringing new partner tiers, incentives and deal registration opportunities, among other perks. One such perk was the Dell Demo Center, which was initially designated as a “enhanced incentive” for truly dedicated partners doing frequent training. But it looks like Dell has had a change of heart …

The Dell Demo Center is now open and available to all Dell Premier partners, across the entire globe, by the end of September 2011. Right now, it’s completely open for U.S. and Canadian partners via Dell’s Solution Centers. The Demo Center provides a 24/7 web portal for partners to offer customers demonstrations of a variety of platforms, including EqualLogic, Compellent, vCenter management plug-ins, PowerEdge controllers and more.

Accessible at Demos.Dell.com, all a partner needs to do is log in, check in and book a time slot to perform the demo. Dell noted there is no “need for advanced notice.” Dell’s decision to make this available to all Premier partners is part of Dell’s ongoing strategy to help partners succeed by giving them as many tools at their disposable as possible. This sentiment is perfectly in line with its May 2011 PartnerDirect 2.0 decision to making partner training free.

With Dell’s latest commitment to its partners regarding the fate of the PC, Dell is certainly making efforts to shine in a uncertain time for the IT industry.
