Digi International (DGII) has introduced the Digi Transport family of enterprise-class, multifunction cellular routers. Certified by Verizon Wireless, Digi Transport routers feature advanced routing, security and integrated primary DSL and backup cellular interfaces. Verizon Wireless is the first carrier to certify the Digi Transport family in North America.

The routers also feature synchronous protocol support for retail and financial devices such as automated teller machines and lottery machines.

The Digi Transport WR offers options such as multiple synchronous/asynchronous ports, GPS, an I/O port and more. The Digi Transport DR contains both primary and backup connectivity, including a four-port Ethernet switch, integrated DSL, Wi-Fi and PSTN modem options. The Digi Transport SR includes an integrated Ethernet switch, synchronous/asynchronous ports and an optional PSTN modem for failovers.

Digi Transport routers also feature remote management software for easy setup, configuration, reporting and monitoring of large installations. And they also support a custom scripting development platform allowing users to create applications running directly in the router.

The Digi Transport WR starts at $495, the Digi Transport DR at $995 and the Digi Transport SR at $895.

The Digi Transport family was developed using technology gained through the acquisition of United Kingdom-based Sarian Technologies, a provider of high-end cellular routers in Europe.
