Distribution Watch: Arrow Electronics, Jenne Inc., New Age Electronics

This week we're featuring the latest news from Arrow Electronics (ARW), Jenne Inc. and New Age Electronics.

Arrow: Arrow Electronics will begin distributing Guidance Software’s security solutions to partners in North America, the company announced in a press release. Arrow is the third distributor to have access to Guidance’s portfolio in North America, following the company’s recent agreements with Westcon and immixGroup.

Guidance said its agreement with Arrow is part of the company’s overarching strategy to refocus its go-to-market strategy on channel sales. The company also made several changes to its channel sales and global sales leadership teams earlier this year, according to the announcement.

“Guidance is committed to growing our business with a high-value distribution network and channel partners,” said Scott Skidmore, vice president, Global Channel at Guidance, in a statement. “As our reseller network in North America continues to grow, we are focused on strengthening our capabilities and services so that our partners have choices, not just customers, to fit their market needs.”

Jenne: Jenne signed an agreement with Avaya earlier this month that will allow the distributor to sell the OnAvaya Unified Communications as a Service solution to its partners. OnAvaya is a hosted Google Cloud Platform for SMB customers.

Jenne said new Avaya business partners will be required to complete the company’s online partner application before becoming eligible to sell the UCaaS solution. Existing Avaya partners will also have to sign a hosted service amendment.

“We are excited to bring this new solution to our Jenne Partners, who have expressed a very strong interest to Jenne in adding cloud solutions to their product offerings,” said John Kruszka, director of Avaya solutions at Jenne, Inc. “OnAvaya will increase opportunities and revenues while improving service for their customers and delivering Avaya’s industry-leading solutions.”

New Age Electronics: New Age Electronics’ US retail channel partners can now sell the ZenFone 2 and its accessories thanks to an expanded agreement with ASUS. New Age Electronics is a division of Synnex.

New Age is also the only US distributor to sell both the unlocked 16GB and 64GB versions of the ZenFone 2, according to the announcement.

As the consumer electronics market continues to change and retailers look to adjust their strategies, unlocked smartphones bring new opportunities for revenue and long-term growth," said Fred Towns, president, New Age Electronics. "The ASUS ZenFone 2 is an ideal product for a wide range of consumers – in addition to the product not being tied to a particular network, it is known for delivering a smarter and simpler mobile experience for users that's supported by all-around powerful performance."

That’s all for this week, folks. Until next time, keep on distributing.
