Distribution Watch: Ingram Micro, Synnex
Happy Thursday! This week we're featuring the latest news from Ingram Micro (IM) and Synnex (SNX) for your reading pleasure.
Ingram Micro: Ingram Micro signed a global distribution agreement with Dropbox this week, which expands the two companies’ previous agreement in the United States and Canada. Beginning immediately, Ingram Micro partners in Europe, Australia and New Zealand can also sell Dropbox Business services to their customers. Additional regions are expected to be added soon.
Ingram Micro also made Dropbox available through the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands, according to the announcement. Australia and New Zealand are expected to be added to the roster later this month.
"Dropbox and Ingram Micro's strengthened relationship reaffirms our joint commitment to meet the growing demands of channel partners and their customers for secure and controlled file sharing and collaboration environments,” said Renee Bergeron, vice president, Global Cloud, Ingram Micro. “Through this expanded agreement, we will leverage our combined technical capabilities and expertise to build a value-added solution for strategic customer segments and vertical markets."
In other Ingram Micro news, the company was also named as a distribution partner for Stratoscale’s new PartnerFirst program.
“PartnerFirst expands Stratoscale’s reach while offering our channel partners a unique value proposition with our innovative technology. Our first alliance with Ingram Micro, the leader in global IT distribution, is a testament to our approach and commitment,” said Ariel Maislos, CEO of Stratoscale. “By leveraging Ingram Micro’s unique capabilities and advanced services to support data center transformation projects globally, Stratoscale is better positioned to capitalize on the growth of this market.”
Synnex: Synnex announced the launch of an ISV ecosystem strategy for its Microsoft solutions portfolio during this week’s Varnex Spring conference in Dallas. The ISV strategy is expected to help resellers increase the adoption of Microsoft products by fostering partner differentiation.
The new ISV solutions being added to the ecosystem include offerings from SkyKick, BitTitan, LiveTiles, LightSpeed Systems and more.
“Microsoft is a key component to Synnex’ overall cloud strategy,” said Rob Moyer, vice president, Software and Cloud Services, Synnex. “We understand that our solution providers need to find ways to differentiate themselves while finding new ways to grow their businesses. The Synnex Microsoft ISV strategy is one way we have aggressively addressed this need.”
That's all for this week. We'll see you next Thursday, but until then, keep on distributing.
