Dynatrace Partner Program Highlights Digital Transformation Expertise
The partner competency program builds on the existing Dynatrace partner program.
Dynatrace says its brand-new partner program allows service providers to more clearly differentiate their offerings and highlight their expertise in specific use cases and technologies.
The Partner Competency Program helps organizations identify partners with a proven track record of using the Dynatrace Software Intelligence Platform. It helps accelerate customers’ digital transformation.
The new competencies align with partners’ expertise in AIOps, DevOps, cloud, ITSM/ITOM and government. ITSM is focused on how services are delivered by IT teams. ITOM focuses more on the processes IT teams use to manage themselves and their internal activities.

“As our customers have begun using our platform in a broader set of use cases, we’ve seen more of a need for partners who are experts in supporting that diversity of use cases,” he said. “For example, we’re seeing more customers using Dynatrace to support their drive towards DevOps, or in areas such as AIOps. These use cases can all be aided with slightly different skillsets. Our partner competency program helps to support this, giving customers the assurance that their partner is proficient in the use cases that matter most to them. In turn, the competency program also gives our partners a way to differentiate more clearly and promote the value-adding services they provide to customers.”
Training and Evaluation
To attain each Dynatrace competency, partners undergo training and evaluation. They must earn domain-specific certifications from Dynatrace University. They have to demonstrate proven success driving digital transformation with multiple customers. And Dynatrace engineers validate their solutions.

Partners enter the program by attaining the core Dynatrace APM Delivery Competency. That validates a partner’s ability to deliver SaaS and managed deployments of the Dynatrace platform.
After earning this competency, partners can get more Dynatrace competencies aligned with their expertise in specific areas.
“We worked closely with our partner community when developing the competency program,” Allen said. “They talked to us about the use cases they’re seeing their customers focus on. And we developed a set of competencies that align to those use cases and the value-added services our partners provide to support them. We also spoke with partners to identify where additional courses and qualifications from the Dynatrace University would help to strengthen their credentials and provide more assurance to customers of their capabilities and proficiencies.”
The new program will help forge even stronger links with Dynatrace‘s partners, he said. It will open up more opportunities for the company and its partners to continually collaborate and advance joint propositions together.
“Additional courses at the Dynatrace University will help our partners to quickly upskill and develop their proficiency in using the Dynatrace platform to advance customer success,” Allen said.
The competencies will make it easier for partners to clearly differentiate their offerings in a competitive market, he said.
“We expect to see our partners enjoying greater success, which ultimately benefits us both,” he said.
