Call it a technology paradox: Even as the managed services market grows rapidly, it also consolidates through mergers and acquisitions. The latest such deal involves two Cisco Systems partners — ePlus and Network Architects — getting together to better target commercial customers.

ePlus Inc. of Herndon, Va., earlier this week acquired Network Architects Inc., a Cisco-focused solution provider and consulting firm. According to an ePlus press release, Network architects has:

highly experienced Cisco engineers with deep expertise in commercial marketplace solutions, including remote managed services solutions, systematic remote deployment and configuration, and security and network assessments.”

ePlus’s pedigree also includes deep Cisco expertise, including Cisco Master Specializations in both Security and Unified Communications; specializations in Advanced Wireless LAN, Advanced Routing and Switching, and Advanced Data Center Storage Networking; and Advanced Technology Provider (ATP) status in both Network Hosted Storage and Rich Media Communications.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but we’ve reached out to ePlus for more perspective on the Network Architects buyout.

This is the latest in a growing list of mergers and acquisitions in the MSP market. Our MSPmentor M&A Tracker keeps tabs on these deals.
