Epson America has announced its WorkForce Pro business printers have achieved validated device support status with FMAudit, ECi‘s managed print service (MPS) software.

The validated device support status with ECi’s FMAudit “enables extensive access, data monitoring and collection to streamline MPS deployments,” according to Epson.

“Resellers now have the opportunity to provide customers with leading-edge printing and imaging hardware from Epson and feature-rich MPS software from FMAudit to optimize and manage their customers’ printers, multifunction laser printers (MFPs) and copier fleets,” Mike Isgrig, vice president of Epson’s North America consumer sales and marketing, said in a prepared statement.

Epson said it is working with ECi to deliver “a powerful solution for IT network professionals and dealers requiring robust business printers with easy-to-use monitoring services to manage productivity, performance and cost.”

The solution is supported across the entire line of Epson WorkForce Pro commercial printers.

“With Epson, we look forward to providing resellers, distributors and IT professionals with cost savings in addition to an enhanced level of service,” ECi FMAudit President Kevin Tetu said.

All Epson commercial printers are available through the Epson ImageWay Partner Program and authorized MPS resellers and distributors.

What does validated device support status mean for both companies?

The validated device support status enables Epson to offer ECi’s FMAudit Data Capture software, which allows IT professionals and MPS service providers to streamline data collection.

Epson said this software also provides:

  • Account management strategies

  • Report creation

  • The ability to set up service and supply alerts

Isgrig added the collaboration between Epson and ECi could help both companies extend their reach in the MPS market.

“As the managed print services market continues to grow, Epson has made it a priority to partner with solution providers such as FMAudit to address businesses’ need for solutions that deliver productivity and cost efficiency,” he said.
