Global software applications provider Equinox Information Systems (Booth 413) announced that Microtech-Tel, an interconnect based in Denver, has licensed ExtractCDR to transform raw automatic message account data from their MetaSwitch switching system into usable formats.

ExtractCDR is a Windows-based system designed to eliminate the chance of errors created by the manual translation of usage records. The software allows end users to export from switch usage files, based on a rank of filter parameters, to ASCII, CDR, or other custom output formats.

Microtech-Tel concluded that ExtractCDR was the best option because its open software architecture allows for customization to fit our switched network environment, said Dennis Cox, operations manager for Microtech-Tel.

Equinox Information Systems provides a wide range of software applications in areas including revenue assurance, fraud management, mediation, network analysis, and custom application development.

Microtech-Tel says its customers include Fortune 500 companies as well as small businesses throughout the Denver area.
