F5 Networks Appoints New Worldwide Channel Chief, North America Sales Lead

F5 Networks (FFIV) has named David Helfer as its new global channel chief, responsible for managing the company’s global channel strategies, boosting partner engagement and bringing F5’s channel business to new markets.

Helfer, whose official title is vice president of Worldwide Channels, is a longtime channel partner exec, and formerly served as channel chief for Lookout, a mobile security solution provider. He has also served in various sales and channel roles at Juniper Networks throughout his career.

F5 simultaneously named Peter Brant as senior vice president of North America Sales, responsible for developing both the company’s go-to-market strategies and daily operations for North America Sales. Brant formerly served as head of Americas sales at Fortinet and has also worked for companies including Breach Security, AdmitOne and SonicWALL.

Helfer will operate out of the San Francisco Bay Area and report to John DiLullo, F5’s executive vice president of Worldwide Sales, according to the announcement. Brant will be stationed in F5’s Seattle headquarters.

“We welcome Pete and David, two well-known and highly respected global sales executives, to the F5 team,” said DiLullo, in a statement. “Their deep understanding of the security and cloud markets and their experience with traditional and emerging channels make them uniquely qualified to help F5 supercharge our sales efforts.”
