Friday’s Last Word: Quorum CEO Edward Sharp — Who is he?

Newly hired Quorum CEO Edward Sharp joined the the San Jose, California-based disaster recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS) at the end of May, succeeding Walter Angerer, who was appointed as the company’s interim in October 2013.

Before joining Quorum, Sharp was an executive at NetApp (NTAP), holding various roles before landing a position as the company’s vice president of emerging products, where he oversaw NetApp businesses focused in the areas of mobile, data protection, flash and object storage.

What’s Sharp’s plan for Quorum in 2014?

Sharp told Talkin’ Cloud in a May interview that he expects to double Quorum’s market presence in 2014 and hopes to scale the company to a level where it can capitalize on all its opportunities.
