DoiT International is a software and managed service provider based in Santa Clara, Calif. The company’s expertise in Kubernetes, machine learning and big data earned it the honor of being named Google Cloud’s top reseller partner worldwide for 2020.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by Google Cloud,” DoiT CEO Yoav Toussia-Cohen said. “2020 was a pivotal year for businesses across the globe and for DoiT, as we made significant investments in the technology, products and service we offer customers. This distinction affirms our commitment to helping companies around the world improve their productivity and performance in the public cloud.”
Carolee Gearhart, Google Cloud’s global channel chief, said DoIT landed the award based on growing customer counts and adding more workloads in Google Cloud. Also, she added, DoiT displayed “passion for bringing the best of Google Cloud to the entire technical ecosystem with open-source tools and exceptional service for customers.”
DoiT has teamed with Google Cloud for more than a decade. The MSP previously secured recognition as Google Cloud’s EMEA SMB partner and its top reseller partner in North America.
For the fourth year in a row, behemoth consultancy Deloitte ranks as Google Cloud’s global services partner of the year.
“The pandemic rapidly accelerated technology adoption globally out of sheer necessity and safety,” said Tom Galizia, Deloitte’s chief commercial officer for the company’s Google practice. “Our response leveraged Google Cloud technology to help identify potential outbreaks, accelerated the science required to respond, including contact tracing, and processed unemployment checks to those in need. Deloitte and Google Cloud found ways to keep businesses running, and today, we see many thriving across life sciences, health care, retail, financial services, government and public services as a result.”
Kevin Ichhpurani, corporate vice president within Google Cloud’s global partner ecosystem unit, agreed. Deloitte stood out for its agility and responsiveness “during an unprecedented time,” he said.
“Throughout 2020, Deloitte led important initiatives to help government agencies and businesses alike support constituents, securely virtualize workforces, enable better contact tracing, reconfigure supply chains, and to help retailers quickly spin up ecommerce solutions to serve customers around the world,” Ichhpurani said.
Deloitte boasts more than 3,000 practitioners in its Google division.
Consultancy Capgemini came away with the top industry solutions partner award. Google Cloud said Capgemini was instrumental in helping joint clients in the banking and insurance fields to adopt cloud technologies.
“Together with Google Cloud, we’ve enabled a number of leading banking and insurance players to adopt a cloud-first strategy,” said Anirban Bose, CEO of Capgemini’s financial services group. “We’re confident that our Global Partners acceleration along with dedicated Centers of Excellence will allow us to deliver more innovative and differentiated cloud transformation experiences and optimize costs by leveraging the power of data to drive business value.”
Google Cloud’s Ichhpurani said Capgemini proved its success in the financial services sector.
“Capgemini brings deep industry and cloud transformation knowledge to this partnership along with strong technical and service capabilities,” he said. “Additionally, Capgemini’s close relationship with their clients speeds up and simplifies businesses’ adoption of and success with Google Cloud and Google Workspace.”
Tata Consultancy Services, a Mumbai-based IT service provider, represents Google Cloud’s breakthrough partner for 2020.
“This distinctive honor demonstrates how TCS and Google Cloud are empowering enterprises with the vital capabilities need to embrace cloud for purpose-led sustainable growth, resilience, speed and business value,” said Krishnan Ramanujam, president and business group head of business and technology services at TCS.
TCS is part of India’s Tata group. The consultancy first teamed with Google Cloud in 2019.
SaaS platform developer Wix owns the title of expansion partner of the year. Google Cloud recognized the New York-based firm for helping joint customers achieve better results. That came, Google Cloud said, thanks to integrations of Google Cloud’s platform and Google Workspace within Wix’s platform.
“Through our partnership with Google Cloud, we are adding essential tools to our platform that help business owners efficiently manage and grow their online presences,” said Liron Raz, director of corporate development at Wix. “We are proud to be recognized as the Google Cloud Expansion Partner of the Year and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Google Cloud to provide our users with advanced tools to optimize their online presence and succeed in today’s online landscape.”
Google Cloud’s Gearhart said she is proud of Wix’s growth with the provider.
“Wix has demonstrated strong technical capabilities across Google Cloud products and solutions, and has significantly scaled their work with customers over the past year,” she said.
Palo Alto Networks had not issued any statements regarding its award by time of publication. Palo Alto and Google Cloud have worked together since 2018. On July 20, they announced the release of the Cloud Intrusion Detection system built on Palo Alto’s threat detection technologies.
Deloitte stuck a rare landing, earning two “partner of the year” accolades. The first, noted in our second slide, was for global services partner. This next one recognizes Deloitte as global public sector partner of the year for 2020. This marks the first time Google Cloud has bestowed this particular award.
Deloitte got the honor for its HealthPrism predictive population health analytics platform. The consultancy “reconfigured” the system to help states identify and support populations at greater risk for various health conditions including COVID-19, Deloitte said. The company even offered HealthPrism on a limited pro-bono basis through its Health Equity Institute. It also led campaigns to distribute personal protective equipment and information to combat COVID-19.
“Google Cloud-enabled, Deloitte-delivered transformations have helped the world respond, recover, and thrive through the global pandemic,” said Punit Renjen, CEO of Deloitte Global. “One cannot underestimate the ripple effect of this relationship. The world is just beginning to imagine the possibilities – the many ways that technology can enable businesses to leverage their respective strengths to produce impact that’s greater than the sum of their individual parts.”
Thailand’s GoPomelo received the award for diversity and inclusion, a hot topic within the channel.
Google Cloud said GoPomelo stood out for establishing a sense of belonging among employees. Many of GoPomelo’s staff come from different nationalities and backgrounds, speak and write in different languages, and have varying accessibility needs. In addition, GoPomelo says women make up 41% of its senior management team and 61% of its employees.
“We are delighted to be recognized for this award,” said Scott Haslehurst, CEO of GoPomelo.
“At GoPomelo, our culture and our people set us apart from others. We value ability over everything else and this allows us to bring best in class solutions to our customers.”
GoPomelo is a Google Cloud premier partner. It provides cloud engineering and consulting across Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
Atos rounds out the list of Google Cloud’s global partner awards.
The Paris-based IT consulting and outsourcing services firm got the award for helping organizations overcome pandemic-related challenges, and for its commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2028.
Some specific moves Atos helped customers make last year included adopting telehealth via Google Meet; using data to combat the opioid crisis; and opening virtual career centers.
“Atos has demonstrated its commitment to critical health organizations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, including helping migrate one of the largest non-profit health systems in the U.S., Ascension Health, to Google Workspace and ensuring a smooth transition to remote work,” said Google Cloud’s Ichhpurani.
Wim Los, senior vice president of cloud enterprise solutions at Atos, said all that work has been intentional.
“Atos has been focused on making a positive and lasting impact on our world during this unprecedented year,” Los said. “This commitment is rooted in our company’s purpose and applies to our entire portfolio. It allowed us to successfully leverage our expertise and Google Cloud technology to help organizations in all industries keep their workforces safe, engaged and motivated during this difficult year.”
