Content collaboration specialist Huddle today launched a new integration that brings together the company’s cloud collaboration service with Microsoft (MSFT) Office’s office productivity tools.

Huddle for Office enables Office workers to work together seamlessly in Huddle’s cloud through their Microsoft Office tools.

With the integration, users can now save files into their Huddle workspaces directly from Microsoft Office applications, and each Word, PowerPoint and Excel file will include a full Huddle comment stream alongside it.

Also, teams can provide feedback on content, make changes and reply in-context to co-workers, and can use Huddle’s cloud collaboration features without having to leave the applications and open a web browser.

Huddle co-founder and Strategy EVP Andy McLoughlin told Talkin’ Cloud that “Huddle for Office means users can continue to work in their familiar environments and IT departments can maximize the ROI on their investments in Microsoft Office.”

Additionally, he said, “Any feature that helps users engage with the Huddle product, or helps handle sales objections, is great for anyone selling Huddle.”

The collaboration company plans to expand its channel partner program this year. and Interested service providers should contact the company directly for more details.

Huddle for Office is compatible with the desktop application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) components of Office 365.

Huddle co-founder and CEO Alastair Mitchell last year participated in Friday’s Last Word to give readers an inside look at what he does outside of the office.
