Keynotes & Education: Welcome!
Kicking off the conference on Wednesday morning were (left to right): Rick Reed, Channel Partners VP of sales; Art Wittmann, VP, Informa’s (Channel Partners’ parent company) Knowledge & Networking division; and Gavin Whitechurch, executive vice president, Informa Telecoms & Media.

In the Suppliers Going Big panel, a panel of leading suppliers drilled down on their companies’ strategic directions and revealed exactly how their best partners are increasing sales and delighting customers.

Extra seating had to be brought in for the packed keynote sessions. A record 5,000 attendees were expected to attend the Channel Partners Conference & Expo this year.

The Wednesday afternoon keynote, “6 Habits of Successful Partners,” featured key distributors and master agents sharing best practices for success, drawn from their experience working with hundreds of partners on thousands of deals. Broadview Networks’ Brian Crotty took the stage in one of several Fastball sessions, which give vendors 6 minutes to pitch their products to the Channel Partners audience.
Keynotes & Education: Sign of the Times
Attendees heard from a panel of Millennials, moderated by Verizon’s Janet Schijns (far left). This group of young people will make up half of the workforce by 2018. Their expectations of technology are vastly different from those of their co-worker just 10 or 15 years older.

In this education session, “The Power of Enablement Partners,” our panel outlined services every agent needs to enhance and power their channel programs, from SaaS-based billing and tax prep to API enablers.
