Ingram Micro Partners Get Microsoft Azure Access
The tech distributor is expanding its cloud clout by giving its partners access to a major cloud computing platform.
Ingram Micro is bringing on a major cloud computing platform.
The tech distributor says that its U.S. partners will be able to get their hands on Microsoft Azure, through Ingram’s cloud marketplace. The access comes via Ingram’s participation in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program.
Renée Bergeron, Ingram Micro’s vice president of global cloud, said the company is committed to improving its partners’ success.
“We’re pleased to enhance our offerings and deliver an industry-ranked cloud platform that can achieve true hyperscale computing capability and allow our channel partners to expand on their services with less investment,” she said.
Ingram Micro executives have said Azure’s presence in the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace will give partners a “true consumption-based model.” Azure is built on a fully automated, hybrid cloud platform.{ad}
David Smith, Microsoft’s vice president of worldwide SMB sales, said the addition would bring new business value to Microsoft’s channel community.
“Together with leading cloud solution providers like Ingram Micro, we continue to build on our commitment of providing our mutual channel partners and their customers with the best-in-breed solutions and resources needed to fully thrive in the cloud,” he said.
Ingram added Dropbox to its cloud marketplace in Singapore on Monday and announced several new features in the marketplace last month.
