Storage and cloud automation provider iWave Software, will be demonstrating its iWave Storage Automator version 6 this week at EMC World. The solution lets solution providers give their customers more control over their cloud-based storage environments while taking away some of the complexity of managing such environments.

iWave’s storage automation software lets enterprise IT organizations and service providers deliver Storage as a Service using their existing storage environments. By allowing end users to provision their own storage via a service portal, iWave Storage Automator v6 helps IT organizations lower storage operating costs, support more storage with fewer administrators and improve end user satisfaction, while enforcing best practices for storage provisioning. iWave Storage Automator v6 can be deployed to both end user and corporate customers over the Internet as a public storage cloud service.

iWave Storage Automator v6 features the following:

  • Policy-based storage selection

  • Multi-tenant, self-service portal and catalog

  • End-to-end automated storage services

  • RESTful storage API

  • Change control, scheduling and notification

  • Service level options

  • Chargeback

Version 6 will be available to qualified customers on July 23. General availability is planned for September 20112
