New Services Roundup: MegaPath’s Enhanced UC, Skype For Business Services
MegaPath introduced an enhanced UC service with integrated enterprise-class collaboration for businesses of all sizes, and its new Skype for Business Integration. MegaPath One combines IP business telephony with video calling, instant messaging, presence and online conferencing in a single application that works on Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphones and tablets.

New Services Roundup: Cisco’s Tetration Analytics Platform
Cisco announced a rack-size platform due this month that it said will provide full visibility across a data center and hybrid cloud in real time.
At a hefty 39 RU cluster with 36 UCS-C220 servers and three Cisco Nexus 9300 switches running the analytics software, the initial release of Tetration is for large data centers. Later this year, Cisco will launch a smaller unit, about one-third the size of the current platform, that’s more suitable for midsize companies, it said.

Avaya introduced a Customer Engagement solution that gives midsize companies intelligence for improving contact-center performance. Avaya said its Workforce Optimization Select offers a diverse range of insights into the customer experience and allows businesses to create optimal value in each customer interaction.

New Services Roundup: RingCentral’s Rooms
RingCentral is targeting enterprise growth with the launch of new room video-conferencing services.
RingCentral Rooms is a cloud-based service aimed at taking on legacy hardware competitors like Cisco. It is compatible with off-the-shelf room cameras and is used with a visual app on an iPad. RingCentral Room Connector, available in July, enables any legacy room conferencing system to connect to other RingCentral Rooms or RingCentral Meetings participants on desktop or mobile devices.

New Services Roundup: HPE Goes Big in IoT, All-Flash, Cloud
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced the Edgeline EL1000 and Edgeline EL4000, which it calls the first converged systems for the Internet of Things (IoT). Both provide analytics and insights using data capture, control, storage and compute. HPE also unveiled new IoT security capabilities, new services and a partner ecosystem to help with the adoption of IoT.

Meantime, HPE’s cousins over at HP Inc., announced that its partners worldwide now can participate in the vendor’s new device-as-a-service offering. HP’s DaaS is a combination of devices, i.e. anything in the vendor’s device portfolio, such as desktops, notebooks, technical workstations, thin clients, mobility, and retail point of sales (POS) solutions.

New Services Roundup: Palerra’s LORIC for Rackspace
Palerra, which dubs itself a Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), unveiled Palerra LORIC for Rackspace. The company says LORIC delivers security for the full cloud stack.
Palerra originally launched support for IaaS via AWS a year-and-a-half ago.
“A year ago, CASBs lacked widespread adoption and recognition in the security solutions market. Within one year, they are now seen as a mandatory control for any enterprise that is leveraging the cloud,” said Adina Simu, VP of products for Palerra.

New Services Roundup: Intronis’ SMB Firewall, by Subscription
Intronis MSP Solutions, a division of Barracuda Networks, announced a new line of subscription-based firewall appliances aimed at easing cloud adoption.
The Barracuda NextGen Firewall – Intronis MSP Edition enables MSPs to administer multiple firewalls through a central management console. Provided templates enable consistent configuration.

New Services Roundup: Lenovo’s Data-Center Offerings
Lenovo expanded its portfolio of IT services with advanced software-defined storage (SDS), improved enterprise networking offerings and capabilities, high-performance servers and improved hyperconverged appliances.
Lenovo’s expanded HX Series, based on Nutanix software and built upon the company’s latest server technology, cover a broader range of workloads and deployment cost requirements, the company said.

New Services Roundup: Datto’s SIRIS 3 Line
Datto introduced its SIRIS 3 X1, the vendor’s first all-flash backup appliance. The company also announced the availability of the SIRIS 3 family for data protection and business continuity.
The SIRIS 3 X1 has a 1TB solid-state drive and 16GB of RAM packaged in a small form factor. The new one-drive device, which protects one node, offers the same features as other SIRIS family of devices, according to the company.

New Services Roundup: Masergy’s WAN Encryption
Masergy Communications introduced WAN Encryption, a managed service that protects data end-to-end while in transit for software-defined WAN connectivity between applications and users.
The company says its managed encryption solution offers customers the choice of either a hardware-based option or a virtualized network function running on the Masergy Intelligent Bridge (MIB).

New Services Roundup: C3’s Cloud Connect
Cloud Computing Concepts (C3) added to its service portfolio with C3 Cloud Connect, which gives participants real-time communications and virtual teaming. Cloud Connect includes audio conferencing and web conferencing and can be purchased through any of C3’s channel partners.

New Services Roundup: SAP Updates Business One
SAP announced general availability of the latest version of its Business One application with new features, including intelligent analytics, project management and an app-like interface for real-time access to main business functions.
Available both on premises and in the cloud, SAP says Business One, version for SAP HANA, helps small and midsize enterprises (SME) and subsidiaries of large enterprises.
The new version also introduces a project management module, which helps monitor the progress of tasks and stages, including all project-related transactions, documents and resources. Partners can now also reduce maintenance downtime by controlling both partner and SAP software tasks for their customers in a single stream with a remote support platform, the company said.
