Global IT solutions and managed services provider Logicalis will acquire MCPc’s Advanced Technology Integration Group (ATIG) for $42 million.

Logicalis plans to integrate ATIG into the company’s U.S. operation in an effort to expand its reach in key midwestern markets, according to the announcement. The company will also acquire ATIG’s sales and technical resources in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Illinois, Georgia, New York and Oregon.

“This acquisition is strategically important for Logicalis to build strength and scale in an important U.S. region where significant investment is being made to attract new businesses and create employment opportunities, said Mark Rogers, CEO of Logicalis, in a statement. “With that comes an increased appetite for high-tech skills and capabilities. ATIG will build on our current ability to support those needs for data center, collaboration, infrastructure, cloud and managed services, and will also strengthen our relationship with key vendor partners Cisco, VMWare and HP.”

MCPc’s ATIG division is the networking and mobile solutions company’s professional services arm, and primarily serves customers in the midwestern United States in addition to select east and west coast markets. MCPc said it will bring new consulting and professional services competencies surrounding enterprise networking, data center, collaboration integration and more to Logicalis customers as part of the deal.

The acquisition is expected to close in September. ATIG’s clients will also have access to Logicalis’ suite of managed service offerings in addition to the company’s global ecosystem once the deal closes.

News of Logicalis’ acquisition of ATIG comes just a day after Logicalis US received $53 million in short term accounts receivable funding from Commercial Distribution Finance, a division of GE Capital.
